Dr. Alderman understands that meeting with your physicians and other healthcare providers can be stressful and confusing. He is here to be an advocate for you during physician consultations, Pre-Surgical Visits, Post-Surgical Visits and follow-ups.
Physician
The physician will provide a plan of care that may consist of images, medications, conservative care, regenerative medicine or surgical intervention.
You (the Patient)
Seeking medical care can be stressful and confusing and having an advocate who is involved with your plan of care will help to ensure that all your questions are answered, a plan is developed, the plan is understood and ensure the creation of an open line of communication between providers.
Dr. Alderman
As the physiotherapist I will be providing the hands-on physical rehabilitative care that is impacted by the plan the physician, physiotherapist and you will develop. During this time with your MD I will ensure that all your questions that we have previously discussed are answered. Additional questions that I may have regarding your care are answered. During this time I will be able to review or recommend a protocol if you a surgical patient at your pre-operative or postoperative MD visit.

What is Patient Advocacy?
The Patient Advocacy Program is designed to assist you during your Journey. The goal is to create an open line of communication with your healthcare providers and advocate your question, your concerns, your thoughts and your goals.
How long will Dr. Alderman stay?
Dr. Alderman will stay during any part of the session that you the patient allows, the beginning, the middle, the end or the entire visit with the MD.
How long will the Visit with the MD last?
The length of time you/we spend with the MD will be guided by the MD and their office.
What is the fee for Dr. Alderman to attend a medical visit and be an Patient Advocate?
The fee associated with the Advocacy Program will depend on the length of time Dr. Alderman is present during the MD visit and also includes round trip travel time from the Sisu Physiotherapy office in Vint Hill, VA. For more information click here.
